Drive Control Corporation (DCC) and Hewlett Packard (HP) have introduced the Rising Star programme, which DCC has branded the DCC Strategic Partner Programme, an exclusive channel programme aimed at DCC's second tier HP printer resellers. The purpose of the programme is to 'grow' DCC's second tier resellers to become HP Preferred Partners, taking their business to a new level.

The DCC Strategic Partner Programme forms part of HP's Rising Star Programme which essentially sees 65 identified resellers countrywide allocated to a number of strategic HP distributors.  
Through the programme HP and its distributors plan to develop these resellers, providing them with important tools such as marketing collateral, technical supports, training and knowledge transfer.
Esna-May Hattingh, HP Printer product specialist at DCC, says: "With the Strategic Partner Programme, DCC takes this one step further by offering strategic, key account management that entails a dedicated account manager; recently appointed pre-sales solutions specialist Robin Lloyd, comprehensive technical advice and easy access to information. In addition, DCC can now also advise resellers on financial options such as leasing."
When these selected resellers achieve the criteria to become HP Preferred Partners, they will enjoy further benefits such as special pricing, selected rebates and access to HP's Smart Portal (providing all the information a reseller might require about HP's products) to mention a few.
Hattingh adds: "Ultimately, knowledge transfer between distributors and resellers is always a good and rewarding experience and our partner programme aims reinforce this."
