Snail mail enters the digital age

In the world of  high-tech communications, traditional post stands out as an anachronism that requires a person's physical presence at a particular point to be effective. But now there's a new service that can bring even traditional post on to a user's computer screen.

A South African company, EmailMyMail, has come up with the service whereby "snail mail" can be sent to the user's email inbox.
"We believe that having access to your mail, wherever and whenever you want it, is not only convenient, but just makes sense," says Rensia van der Merwe, MD of EmailMyMail.
Security-vetted staff scan the mail and forward it directly to the recipient.
"Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us and for this reason we are extremely vigilant when it comes to security," adds van der Merwe.
Advanced imaging technology used in the scanning process reduces human intervention.
With the environment being a huge issue worldwide, after an intitial period of three months,EmailMyMail will responsibly recycle all unwanted mail.
