Yahoo, the possible object of a hostile takeover by Microsoft, could receive a needed boost by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, which may take a stake in the search engine company.

News Corp already owns MySpace and this could be included in a deal with Yahoo that would see Yahoo getting control of MySpace and News Corp getting a piece of Yahoo.
According to the Wall Street Journal, although News Corp only has able $3,5-billion in cash, MySpace is valued at between $6-billion and $10-billion.
News Corp could end up with a 20% stake in Yahoo.
Meanwhile, analysts believe Microsoft hasn't given up on buying Yahoo and will come back with a new strategy soon.
