More woes for Wikipedia’s Wales

It hasn't been a good couple of weeks for Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales. First his ex-girlfriend published racy e-mails from him and sold his clothes online, then there were allegations that Wikipedia had paid for Wales' expenses, now there's a claim that he took money in return for making edits on the site.

Jeff Merkey, a former chief scientist at Novell, says Wales offered to edit his entry in return for a donation.
Merkey claims that he made a $5 000.00 donation, and that his entry was edited.
Wales denies the allegations.
However, Merkey's entry was deleted and rewritten, also placed under special protection whereby it can only be edited by Wikipedia adminstrators.
Merkey has been involved in several lawsuits, including one with former employer Novell over trade secrets.
