Management reshuffle at Annex

More signs of activity in the distribution environment have seen a management reshuffle at Annex Distribution.

The distributor has announced the interim appointment of Bill Gradwell, former GM the company and current regional business development director of the Sahara Group, to head up its Midrand-based operations.
This follows the resignation of Annex director Wayne Britz this month.
Britz, who joined the Sahara Group at its Durban branch in 2001, made the move to Johannesburg to take up the reins at Annex Distribution in 2006.
Annex Distribution was launched in 2003 and has its origins in the acquisition of Electronic Building Elements (EBE), the sole technical distributor of Intel in Southern Africa, by JSE-listed Altech about 38 years ago. EBE became the Computer Products Group division of Arrow Altech Distribution (AAD).
In 2003, this division was acquired by Sahara Holdings Group and named Annex Distribution. Today, the company remains a focused distributor with a product portfolio that covers every aspect of today’s technology-driven business environment, incorporating CPUs, mobile technology, input devices, multimedia, printers, servers, software, networking, monitors, motherboards, optical storage and chassis components.
Britz is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
