Following the success of its recent BI event with international data

US-based Kimball University and its President to South Africa to host the
University¹s foundation business intelligence (BI) event, Data Warehouse
Lifecycle In Depth from 29 July to 1 August in Johannesburg.

This foundation course, which is the first in a series of four, will
explore what it takes to successfully implement a data warehouse from
inception through to deployment and will be taught by Kimball Group
President, Margy Ross and Kimball University consultant, Warren
Thornthwaite, co-authors of the popular 'data warehouse lifecycle toolkit'

The world renowned Data Warehouse Lifecycle in Depth Class course has been
designed to appeal to all major roles on a data warehouse project, from
project managers to DBAs to data modelers to application developers.

it, or who has been through a project or two and wants to learn how to do
it right," she adds.
Course content includes an introduction to the business dimensional
lifecycle, a roadmap for the DW/BI project, project planning and
management, business requirements definition, dimensional modelling
(including case studies and workshops), technical architecture design, ETL
process and workflow, physical configuration options, physical database
design, deployment, maintenance and growth.
