Dimension Data has launched in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with office in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, following the acquisition of a 51% stake in UAE-based systems integrator Data Processing Systems (DPS). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dimension Data’s growth strategy in the Middle East & Africa region is to partner with local companies. This approach enables the creation of strong locally based companies that have the required in-depth knowledge and experience of local markets and are able to leverage the global best practice and expertise.
DPS has been operating in the UAE market for 25 years, and has a solid client base including Etisalat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emaar, Limitless, Gulf News, Al Habtoor Group and AMLAK Financing The company is a Cisco Silver Certified partner, and also has strategic technology partnerships with Foundry Networks and Nexans.
