Sales of SAS OpRisk Management jumped in 2007 to an increase of 105% over 2006. This record revenue is evidence that financial services institutions continue to recognise business intelligence leader SAS as a key component in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management.

SAS recognises financial institutions' need to measure and manage operational risk in a scientific way – not just for regulatory purposes, but also for making sound business decisions. It is evident that, the many recent awards and recognitions for operational risk management based on customer feedback have paid off for SAS.
“Financial institutions make up a core part of our business, and we have invested much time and effort into ensuring that the products we off the financial sector are up to date and relevant,” says André Zitzke, Solution Specialist at SAS South Africa. “It is gratifying to see sales grow, as this shows our investment is paying off, not just for us but for finance organisations too.”
SAS' global operational risk customers are located in 28 countries across six continents and include institutions ranging from Australia, France, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the U.K. and the U.S. SAS software's leading data management capabilities and superior analytics arm institutions with the ability to view their risk profiles at an enterprise level.
