BullGuard has released its new Internet security system, BullGuard Internet Security 8.0, that is designed to keep PCs free from viruses, hackers, spyware and spam.
The software, distributed in South Africa by 10Net ICT Solutions, comes with a standard 3-PC licence and contains antivirus, antispyware, firewall, spamfilter, backup and support, all accessible through a user-friendly interface.
"A notable improvement over many security suites is the inclusion of an online backup model ensuring that users have a safe copy of all their vital data,” says Robert Oostergetel, director global OEM sales at BullGuard. “We stop infections from entering users' PC, but should their computers be otherwise compromised – stolen or damaged, for instance – then the backup will allow them to retrieve their most important files.
The product also provides new 24/7 support via instant messaging to provide answers to all security-related questions. Users can also grant support staff temporary remote access to their computers, enabling them to solve the problems remotely. The spamfilter feature contains the most comprehensive anti-phishing tool on the market, integrating fully with the most popular e-mail applications.
“Spammers are getting smarter about how they target users. BullGuard Internet Security 8.0 introduces enhanced features to help combat unwanted and high-risk e-mails and enforce security,” says Oostergetel.
The new product is ideal for Windows XP, 2000 and Vista.
