Ingram Micro South Africa has added Intel and Targus to the mix of products in its portfolio.
John David, vendor manager at Ingram Micro South Africa, says that the new products strongly complement existing components in the Ingram Micro stable. This allows the company to address niches it sees as critical to its success.
"Furthermore, if we look at these new additions more closely, it's clear that Ingram Micro is attracting the top brands in the market."
Intel is the leader in CPUs, chipsets and computing platforms.
"With this leading brand on board, we have the ability to offer better stockholding of the most important components, namely CPUs and motherboards, at more cost effective prices."
Targus is a leader in the accessory market, and Ingram Micro will take on the company's range of bags; USB and power accessories as well as mobile peripherals.
"With the existing market perception of Targus being a producer of high quality, trendy and reliable products, Targus will continue to be a sought after brand. We are expecting an excellent response to the addition of Targus from our resellers," he adds.
David adds that Ingram Micro plans to add more products to its portfolio during this year.
"We are undoubtedly on a growth path and, over the coming year, we will substantially increase our brand coverage in the local market."
