McAfee has appointed Trevor Coetzee as channel manager for Africa.

Coetzee joins McAfee from the network security channel, where he has spent six years in a number of commercial roles.

Coetzee joins McAfee with the objective of working strategically with partners to grow and develop an account portfolio that will generate substantial revenue for both McAfee and its partners. He believes that channel partners, including distributors and resellers, play a vital role in these objectives, due to their intimate knowledge and understanding of the local market.
"Building relationships with new partners and distributors, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with McAfee’s current partners, will enable us to work together to create a dynamic business channel, which will allow for faster adoption of new technologies and greater deployment of McAfee’s current solutions," says Coetzee.
In line with this, the world-class McAfee SecurityAllianceTM Global Partner Program provides an extensive range of services and benefits to support partners’ own level of participation. The McAfee SecurityAlliance focuses on the partner’s ability to serve its customers and drive its business success. McAfee provides these companies with the support they need at every level of the partnership engagement.
Chris van Niekerk, regional director of McAfee South Africa, says: "Trevor has worked with some of the major security vendors and distributors in the South African and African markets and has gained extensive experience in business development and the activation of security strategies at end-user level. This insight is extremely valuable and we are delighted to have him on board."
