Microsoft gets HP on board

Microsoft has signed up HP to boost its search feature, and Live Search will be the default on HP PCs shipped in North America from next year.

HP will also pre-install copies of Internet Explorer with an additional Live Search toolbar.
Currently Google, which has about 10-times the market share of Microsoft's search, is pre-installed on Dell computers and on the Firefox browser.
Microsoft has signed up Lenovo as well as HP.
Apparently 40% of Web users make use of the search engine that is presented as a default.
