Neotel has appointed Wandile Zote as executive head: external affairs, taking over from Fani Zulu who has returned to Eskom.
Zote has more than 10 years in both the public and private sectors. His previous employers include the free-to-air national television broadcaster, eTV, South African Airways (SAA), State Information Technology Agency (SITA) and construction materials company Holcim South Africa.
In 1988 Zote joined the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), where he worked for more than eight years in both radio and television covering major news events locally and abroad.
Zote is a graduate of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape in Journalism. He has also completed his Management Advancement Program (MAP) at the University of Witwatersrand’s Business School in Johannesburg.
He is a member of the United States based International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Black Management Forum’s (BMF) Sandton Branch.
