Pinnacle Micro has been appointed as a third distributor for printer manufacturer Lexmark, and will carry the full range of products aimed at SMB, corporate and government customers throughout the region.
It joins existing distributors Sahara and Axiz.
Pinnacle Micro will have access to the full range of Lexmark printing, imaging and document management systems throughout the southern African region, including Mocambique, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Angola.
"Pinnacle Micro will be able to offer the full scale of enty-to-top-level office printing and imaging solutions," says Arnold Fourie, CEO of Pinnacle Micro.
Before the agreement, Pinnacle didn't have access to top-end laser printers and had identified the need to diversify and extend its offerings.
"Our partnership will facilitate Lexmark's growth and market penetration beyond South African borders," says Branislav Zivkovic, MD of Lexmark SA.
Fourie's initial estimate is to capture 6% of the market.
The Pinnacle Holdings group turned over R2,23-billion last year, with a prfit margin of R150-million.
Companies in the stable include Pinnacle Micro, Pinnacle Africa, Workgroup, Pinteq, DataNet and TriContinental.
