iVolve acquires Spitzer Consulting, changes name


iVolve, a leading provider of information technology solutions to corporates and SMEs through rentals and outright procurement, announced it has acquired a majority stake in female-owned reseller Spitzer Consulting and that it will continue to operate as iVolve Technologies from 1 July 2008.

Led by Lilly Poroddi-Botha, Spitzer Consulting is an HP Business Partner that offer a wide range of solutions and services ranging from business calculators, pda’s and pc’s through to high-end mission critical Net servers, as well as a full printer range, consumables, Microsoft software, antivirus programs, networking, cabling, maintenance and accessories.
The company has well-established partnerships with all major vendors with a particularly strong focus on Public Sector departments, telecommunications and SMB environments.
Says iVolve Technologies MD Dries de la Rey: “We are extremely excited about this merger and look forward to the total integration of products and services into a complete offering that adds significant value to our customer’s. This together with the incorporation of Spitzer Consulting’s specialised technical expertise and strong customer base, especially in the public sector, will allows us grow the business to stand true to our new name and provide a full turnkey IT solution to a broader market.
