LG Electronics has announced a new notebook based on the new 45nm Hi-k Intel Core2 Duo mobile processor for Centrino – the E300 ultra-portable 13.3-inch notebook.

The E300 is an entertainment notebook featuring discrete Nvidia Geforce graphics. One of the first notebooks in South Africa to feature the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor T8300, the E300 brings enhanced performance, usability and energy efficiency in stylish award-winning form factors.
The new Intel Core 2 Duo processor T8300 benefits from enhancements to the Intel Core micro architecture and also Intel's industry-leading 45nm Hi-k process technology with its hafnium-based high-K + metal gate transistor design, which results in higher performance and more energy-efficient processors. 25% smaller than current generation processors, the new processor enables breakthrough performance and improved battery life, providing consumers with the ability to be more productive or just enjoy their digital entertainment while on the go.
Helping to extend battery life is also a new Intel Core micro architecture design feature for advanced power management state called Deep Power Down Technology that reduces the power of the processor when it's not running data or instructions to the laptop. Intel has also added new video and graphics capabilities with Intel HD Boost that includes Intel Streaming SIMD Extensions 4 (SSE4) for speeding up workloads including video encoding for high-definition and photo manipulation.
Aimed at fashion-forward consumers, the LG E300 is an ultra-portable and ultra-light widescreen 13.3-inch notebook that combines improved graphics and processing power in a trend-setting design. New imprint patterns and a high-gloss finish give cutting-edge style and a sturdy feel to the notebook.
The integrated ATI Express 1250 with up to 896MB in shared graphics memory combines with the in-built HDMI interface to deliver uncompressed, crystal-clear video and audio to HDTVs or next-generation LCD monitors.
