The cellular telephony market appears to be booming, if contracts for new cellular towers received by African Cellular Towers are anything to go by.

The company has announced that it signed new contracts for about R170-million in the month of June.
The contracts is for the construction of cellular towers and shelters in Africa.
About 82% of the contractrs relate to the supply of towers and the balance of 18% to their installation.
The contracts will be manufactured and delivered over the next six months.
African Cellular Towers states that the majority of the contracts are from large cellular operators, and many are in new geographic areas.
