Canon Europe, which includes South Africa, has been awarded Microsoft Gold
Certified Partner status, recognised for its expertise in offering
networking infrastructure solutions for small to medium-sized businesses.

Gold Certified Partner status recognises technology partners exhibiting the
highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies. The
award is testament to Canon's commitment to providing high-quality IT
services for the office environment.
"Attaining Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status is a terrific endorsement
of our products and services.  Building a closer working relationship with
Microsoft will play an important role in our continued delivery of leading
imaging solutions for our business clients over the long-term," says
Michelle Janse van Vuuren, general manager: marketing at Canon Consumer
Imaging SA.
Canon Europe achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status along with its
subsidiaries in Belgium, Norway and Denmark. In addition, four Canon
national sales offices hold Gold Certified Partner status independently, and
four hold Certified Partner status.
Canon Europe aims to develop an ever-closer working relationship with
Microsoft. In 2007, Canon Finland successfully integrated Microsoft Office
Sharepoint Server alongside its business offering, supported by bespoke
professional services. This successful programme is planned to be rolled-out
across Canon's European markets in due course.
