Three of Canon's scanners have been awarded with Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI)
prestigious Spring 2008 "Pick" accolades.

The Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510C workgroup scanner, imageFORMULA DR-X10C
mid-volume production scanner and Canon's leading network scanner, the
ScanFront 220P all received high scores for, among others, reliability,
ease-of-use and speed.
BLI regularly acknowledges the very best performers with its twice yearly
"Pick" awards, which are given to products that perform best in BLI's
proprietary tests. Devices are evaluated on a wide range of the most
important performance factors for buyers, including reliability, ease of
use, productivity and value.
"Winning three out of four categories in the Buyers Lab awards' scanner
division is undoubtedly a great achievement and indicative of our continued
innovation in the scanner marketplace," comments Mark Geldenhuys of Canon
Business Solutions South Africa.
Canon's DR-2510C earned BLI's "Pick" award for Outstanding Workgroup Scanner
because of its excellent overall feature set and media-handling
capabilities, as well as its very good overall ease of use and excellent
value. "This unit also demonstrated nearly flawless OCR accuracy, even when
scanning BLI's challenging very light document," notes BLI.
BLI found the ScanFront 220P enabled networked users to easily and securely
scan using fingerprint authentication, naming it as its Outstanding Network
Scanner. "With one-touch scan presets that can be conveniently located on
the main screen of the unit's colour touch-screen display, the ScanFront
220P sets a new benchmark for ease of use in this category," says BLI.
Canon's first ever Mid-Volume Production Scanner, the DR X10C, was named
Outstanding Mid-Volume Production Scanner thanks to its fast scanning speeds
of up to 100 pages and 200 images per minute, excellent image processing
features and outstanding ease of use.
