MTN South Africa has embarked on a drive to roll out the BlackBerry smartphone range in MTN retail outlets.
Initially, MTN will introduce the BlackBerry smartphone range at selected stores around the country, with plans to bring the others on-stream in the months ahead.
With BlackBerry Internet Service, individual consumers and smaller businesses, can access up to 10 supported business and personal e-mail accounts, including popular ISP e-mail accounts like Google Mail and MWeb, from a single device.
The individual customer will find BlackBerry smartphones easy to master and they can download a variety of applications to further enhance their BlackBerry experience.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server software tightly integrates with Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise and works with existing enterprise systems to enable secure, push-based wireless access to e-mail and other corporate data.
"The BlackBerry smartphone is a great choice for individuals who want a smartphone to connect them to everything that matters so that they can make the most of their busy personal and business lives," says Pieter Verkade, chief marketing offiser at MTN SA.
The phones available from MTN retail outlets will be the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 and BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphones.
