Facebook has overtaken MySpace as the most popular social networking site in the world, with 132-million visitors during June.

This compares to MySpace's 117,5-million visitors over the same period.
Facebook visitors first nudged past MySpace in April, a lead which the social networking site has consolidated in the interim.
The site's surge in popularity could be partly attributed to its local language interface translation which has allowed it to become a big player in previously minor markets.
Worldwide, there were about 580,51-million social networking users in June, with Middle East & Africa enjoying the fastest growth at 66%, followed by Europe at 35%. North America grew 9%.
