Sitecom, best know in Europe for its home networking products and accessories, will enter the South African market from 1 September.
The range of more than 100 products will be available in retail stores such as Incredible Connection, Makro, Game and HiFi Corporation. The local distrbutor is retail specialist Digital Channelwise Solutions (DCS).
Sjors Hendriks, sales director at Sitecom, believes the time is right to enter the South African market.
“South Africa has enormous potential for us as a business destination, offering a highly developed telecommunication system in combination with a vibrant emerging market economy," he says.
"With products from our innovative range we intend to fulfil the demand for home networking solutions in a market with a fast growing internet penetration."
Sitecom’s complete range includes routers, modems, homeplugs, Bluetooth adapters and switches.
In addition, the company has recently launched its Pure E-motion line of wireless routers designed to blend into people's homes.
“Our target marke is steadily increasing," says marketing & communication manager Virginia Yanquilevich. "Alongside the hardcore computer users we are seeing the rise of a new generation, wanting to use the latest technologies and attaching major importance to simple products and user-friendly out-of-the-box experiences.
"As one of the leading brands in the field of home networking, Sitecom addresses this development by not making any concessions concerning quality, performance or design and especially user-friendliness. Simplicity is what it’s all about at Sitecom."
The new gaming router is also expected on the shelves from 1 September, allowing gaming users to set connectivity preferences and thus eliminate latency in online gaming.
