With the introduction of its SP 8200DN high-volume printer, NRG Gestetner
South Africa has made it easier to print professional-looking documents in
record time.

This cost-effective new printer is ideal for mid to large-sized offices and
dedicated workgroups conducting host printing, on-demand printing or central
reprographics, requiring exceptional performance in high-pressure work
environments.
"The new model SP 8200DN confirms Gestetner's commitment to provide
customers with powerful yet versatile printing solutions. With its high
print speed, massive duty cycle and versatile finishing options, this new
model offers companies a reliable high-performance workhorse," says Esti
Pretorius, marketing product executive at NRG Gestetner SA.
The SP 8200DN prints up to 50 A3 black-and-white pages per minute, with a
peak duty cycle of 300 000 pages per month. A quick 25-second warm-up time
and a super-fast first print speed of only 3.5 seconds, combined with a
maximum paper capacity of 4,400 sheets, means users can complete their print
jobs quickly and without interruptions.
Excellent media versatility enables the SP 8200DN to support plain and
recycled paper, transparencies, cards, envelopes, as well as thick paper of
up to 169gsm. For added flexibility and ease-of-use, the unit comes with a
first-class 3,000-sheet finisher or a more budget-friendly 1 000-sheet
finisher.
The SP 8200DN supports a range of different networking protocols and
features to reduce the network load. Barcode and data stream printing are
supported through SAP R/3 and IBM System i5 HPT connectivity. The large,
optional 40GB hard drive allows documents to be stored in memory and printed
whenever it is convenient.
Enhanced security is central to the design of the SP 8200DN with watermark
protection, data encryption, authentication and controlled access
capabilities protecting sensitive information. A Data Overwrite Security
Unit erases temporary data on the device¹s hard drive, preventing
unauthorised access to sensitive data.
