JumpStart rewarding for Acer and business partners

Acer South Africa has reported strong reseller response to its "JumpStart"
incentive, the third iteration of its reseller incentive programme, which
closed on June 17 this year.

More than 1000 resellers signed up to take part, with the goal of winning
prizes such as a trip to Australia to watch the Springboks and a brand new
BMW 320a. The programme was tailored to resellers who source Acer product
from distributors, Axiz and Tarsus, and ran from March 17 to June 17.
Acer South Africa reports that distribution sales for this period are up 63%
over the same timeframe in 2007, indicating that resellers enthusiastically
bought into the programme. The top 23 resellers across the regions joined
Acer, Tarsus and Axiz for an unforgettable trip to see the Springboks square
off against the Wallabies in a Tri-nations match at Subiaco Oval, Perth.
The trip was made even more memorable by the fact that the party stayed in
the same hotel as the Springboks, giving them opportunities to meet and be
photographed with some of the country's top rugby players.
Resellers could qualify for the overseas trip by coming out on top for their
region across categories such as best newcomer, partner who delivered the
best growth and the partner that produced the highest revenue. Tickets could
also be won in a lucky draw.
Those lucky enough to win a spot on the trip to Australia were asked to
guess the final score of the game with the BMW earmarked for the person that
guessed correctly. Since no one managed to guess the score correctly, the
resellers were entered into a draw, which was won by First Technology Group
in Bloemfontein. Integr8-IT and RandShelf Investments each won a runners-up
prize of an Aspire ONE Netbook.

Africa. "We are pleased with the results that the Operation JumpStart
incentive programme has produced to date, and feedback from our resellers
about the programme has been resoundingly positive.

partners as a direct result of this JumpStart incentive," adds Braum. The
programme is driving interest and excitement about Acer's products among
existing business partners as well as attracting new resellers to the Acer
brand.

enormous role in the success of the incentive," concludes Braum. "Acer will
continue to work even harder with both distribution partners to create
incentive programmes that can reward our valued channel partners for
investment in the Acer range of products."
