German corporate giant Siemens finally looks set to sell its stake in Fujitsu Siemens Computers to its partner in the joint venture, Fujitsu.
Quoting informed sources, the respected German weekly Euro am Sontag reports that Fujitsu would then sell the end customer part of the business to focus more on the commercial customer business. It names Lenovo as a possible buyer.
While Siemens declined to comment on the sale of its stake, Fujitsu Siemens says negotiations between the partners on the future of the JV are ongoing. The agreement between Fujitsu and Siemens is automatically renewable for a five-year period next year if neither partner gives notice that it wants to end the JV.
