T-Mobile launched its new Google phone, based on the Android software platform, on Tuesday evening in New York.

The new phone is pitched to retail for slightly less than Apple's iPhone and includes both a big screen and a keyboard that slides out.
Not unexpectedly, the new phone includes a dedicated key for Internet search.
The Google phone has both WiFi and GPS built in, and is designed to function as a fully-fledged PC.
The G1 also includes maps, e-mail and instant messaging, a music player and a camera.
