Nashua Mobile has concluded an agreement with the Core Group to sell Apple products through its stores, with its first three outlets set to offer Apple merchandise from Wednesday (15 October).

The Core Group is the official distributor of Apple products for South Africa. Under terms of the agreement, Nashua Mobile will be selling Apple products such as iPods, Mac desktops and MacBooks directly to consumers.
The first three Nashua Mobile stores to supply Apple products will be those located at the Design Square in Pretoria, Sandton City in Johannesburg and the Nashua Mobile headquarters in Midrand. Apple products will be rolled out at more Nashua Mobile stores following the completion of the proof of concept at the first three outlets.
Says Doug Mattheus, marketing director at Nashua Mobile: "We are proud to partner with an iconic brand like Apple and look forward to a long relationship with the product range. This relationship will enhance the brands of both Apple and Nashua Mobile in South Africa."
Customers will be able to buy Apple products bundled with other Nashua Mobile offerings such as cellular and broadband subscriptions. For example, MacBooks will be supplied on a 24-month ADSL contract while subscribers may opt for an iPod along with their cellular subscriptions.
Says Mark Goott, MD of Core Group: “We are excited about this new partnership with Nashua Mobile. The company has excellent retail coverage and well-trained customer service staff, which will help us to expand our reach into the market. We look forward to working closely with Nashua Mobile in the months to come.”
Nashua Mobile has invested extensively in training and branding ahead of the initial rollout of the Apple products in its stores. Staff in the first three outlets to carry Apple product have already received extensive product training so that they can answer any customer queries about Apple's product lines and give them sound advice.
