Serena Williams, tennis champion and HP brand ambassador, is visiting South Africa to endorse HP as a technology innovator, and to support a local not-for-profit organisation helping children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Williams will visit the recently-launched HP Experience Store in Sandton City to showcase HP's range of consumer notebook and desktop PCs, including:
* The HP TouchSmart IQ500, a touch-enabled all-in-one PC with a sleek, piano-black finish and slim design; and
* The recently announced HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition, a chic digital clutch featuring a gleaming red finish bursting with peony flowers.
From early 2009, HP will further enhance technology consumers' experience with HP through five new HP stores-in-store across Johannesburg and Pretoria. The new stores will provide more consumers with a premium shopping environment in which to try and purchase HP's consumer product line-up.

During her visit to South Africa, Serena Williams will also take part in a tennis play-off and coaching session. Serena Williams and HP will be donating the proceeds from the play-off to the Starfish Greathearts Foundation, an international development charity which aims to bring life, hope and opportunity to children in South Africa, who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
