LG Electronics South Africa appointed Deon Botha as its national IT sales manager, a position he previously held from 2000 to 2003.
Botha sees strengthening ties with distributors and channel partners as the key to entrenching the LG brand even further in South Africa.
Botha replaces Robbie Johnson, who was the national IT sales manager for a very brief period before moving on to the company's mobile division.
Botha joins LG after two years at Konica Minolta where he was channel manager: printers.
LG occupies the number one position in the South African market in monitor sales. However, it is aiming for more growth in notebooks, projectors and digital media.
“Recent introductions like the LG X110 10-inch netbook with built-in HSDPA and the ultraportable LG HS102 projector, set the stage for affordable and innovative technology and are expected to be sales successes over the festive period,” says Botha.
