Not unexpectedly, in view of the current economic recession, Intel has cut its spring IDF (Intel Developer Forum) in Beijing from two days to one, and targeted it specifically at the Chinese market.
Originally scheduled for the 8th and 9th of April at the Beijing International Convention Centre, the conference will now take place on 8 April at the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel.
On its IDF website, Intel says: "Given the current economic circumstances and business pressures the industry is facing globally, IDF Beijing 2009 is being reformatted to a one day event. IDF Beijing will feature keynotes, technical sessions and technology showcase all tailored for the Chinese market."
On the same website, the fall IDF so far remains unchanged, scheduled for 22 to 24 September at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco.
