Sony Electronics South Africa will be launching its fourth Sony Centre at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg on 28 March.

The other three stores are in Menlyn Shopping Centre in Pretoria; Eastgate Shopping Centre in Johannesburg; and Gaborone in Botswana.
The Melrose Arch Sony Centre will feature a number of opening specials, while enthusiasts are expected to visit for the comprehensive range of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Blu-ray titles.
"High-definition is the buzzword and Blu-ray is what it's all about," says Gavin Smith, senior customers manager: communication marketing at Sony Electronics SA.
"At our centres we not only provide our patrons with great titles but also the equipment that enables them to experience the real quality that the Blu-ray format delivers."
Nelmari Claassens, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment marketing manager at SterKinekor Entertainment, adds: "The Sony Centres are a fantastic way to tangibly showcase Blu-ray technology. These stores offer consumers the opportunity to experience the format first-hand, allowing them to personally see and hear the strides Blu-ray technology has made in terms of visual and as well as audio quality."
The Sony Centres are a one-stop-shop, featuring the latest technology in Bravia LCD, PlayStation, VAIO and Blu-ray players and also showcasing the latest accessories which aren't always as easily obtainable from general retailers and stockists.
Additionally, the Melrose Arch Sony Centre will feature a sound and picture room which will provide shop visitors with the ideal environment and equipment to make informed and educated decisions on TVs, audio equipment and so forth.
