Simeka Business Group subsidiary Foster-Melliar has appointed Russell Steyn as its new MD with immediate effect. Steyn takes over the postition from David Anderson who will assume a group executive position.

“As part of our corporate succession planning programme, Russell has been appointed as MD of Foster-Melliar based on his excellent credentials in the industry as well as the authority that he commands as a certified ITIL Expert," says Anderson. "Russell has 15 years experience in service management as both a trainer and consultant and is currently serving as a director on the board of the ITSMF South Africa.
“Russell is a visionary leader with a contagious passion for service excellence," he adds. "He is well respected by many in the industry who have had the privilege of being trained by him in addition to countless organisations that Russell has helped to implement, drive and improve their service management initiatives as a Principal Consultant.”
Steyn says he is looking forward to his new role.
“I am supported by a very competent management team that will help bring the company’s plans and objectives to fruition," Steyn says. "My new role will entail considerably less time in the classroom, affording me the opportunity to view Foster-Melliar’s operations from an overall perspective in order to streamline and direct our efforts to expand and grow Foster-Melliar’s offering to the industry.
“This year will see a host of new offerings and exciting solutions from Foster-Melliar which are bound to positively impact on the industry,” he says.
