Atio, in partnership with Sukuma Global Communications, has been awarded the tender to provide integrated IP communications, cabling and electronic infrastructure to Coca Cola Park Stadium by the City of Johannesburg ahead of 2010.
"Our partnership with Nortel positions us as a leader in delivering world-class communication systems. We are certain that implementation of the Nortel 8600 and 5500 Ethernet Routing Switching network technology will meet their business needs in preparing Coca Cola Park ahead of the 2010 events," says Andre le Roux, MD of Atio’s interactive division.
Nortel has also been selected to provide the IT infrastructure for the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
Some of the Coca Cola Park requirements include the need for fully integrated IP communications, voice/data & fibre cabling and electronic infrastructure supporting security management, wireless security and IPTV support. The project has already commenced and is on track according to the project 2010 schedule.
Atio is a Nortel Voice and Data Gold Partner, certified to supply and support all Nortel voice systems. The company has vast experience in systems integration, support and maintenance.
"This combination will ensure that Coca Cola Park achieves an integrated IP network capable of delivering world class communications to all parts of the stadium during 2010," concludes le Roux.
"Sukuma’s network infrastructure implementation competencies, coupled with Atio’s in-depth Nortel skills have resulted in an unparalleled optimum solution for the stadium which exceeds the expectations of the Ellis Park Project Managers," adds Udesh Inderlal, MD of Sukuma Global Communications.
