NEC Philips has awarded GijimaAst with its NEC Best System Integrator Partner Award 2008-2009 for excellent business performance over the past year at its distributor conference held in Portugal last month.
At the conference, which brought together around 50 NEC Philips' distributors and business partners from across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa), Lex de Gier, Vice President Marketing and Sales, at NEC Philips Unified Solutions, congratulated his business partners on their achievements in various arenas.
"GijimaAst has demonstrated excellent performance which has resulted in them being awarded with the Best Systems Integrator Partner Award 2008/2009. It is inspiring to experience the enthusiasm of the company towards our brand, our portfolio and our way of working," says De Gier.
According to Hugh Myers, business unit executive at GijimaAst, NEC's new range of Univerge SV8000 communication servers is taking off extremely well, which confirms that the Unified Communications and IP DECT applications are a perfect fit for their mid-market and small enterprise corporations.
"The whole team is honoured to receive such a prestigious award. We are very passionate about the role we play in South African businesses through the use of technologies that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives. To win an award like this gives me renewed confidence in our strategy and in what GijimaAst is trying to achieve," he says.
Concludes De Gier: "The awards we are presenting are recognition of our mutual commitment and business success. We look forward to a fruitful continuation in the way we serve the EMEA enterprise communications markets together."
