It has emerged the Apple CEO Steve Jobs had a liver transplant two months ago, but is expected to return to work – albeit part-time – at the end of this month.

Earlier this year, concerns about Jobs falling weight led to speculation that he was gravely ill, but he shrugged it off as a "hormone imbalance", although he later began a six-month leave of absence for medical reasons.
The concerns over Jobs' health were exaggerated this year as he was treated for pancreatic cancer in 2004.
Bad reports on Jobs' health usually have a negative impact on Apple's stock as he is so intricately tied to the company's success. In fact, some estimates say that Jobs accounts for as much as 25% of Apple's value.
