Copy Type Electronics, the largest independent copier supplier in the Western Cape as well as the official distributor of Toshiba photocopiers and multi-functional devices (MFD) in Africa, has extended full reseller and service status to Roan Systems for its Toshiba copier range and Blue Print Solution MFP range.
Designed to put good quality printing and copying power within almost any budget, Blue Print Solutions includes entry-level to high-end multifunction machines aimed at providing affordable products in an increasingly competitive market. The Blue Print Solutions range includes MFP for printing, scanning, copying and faxing. Colour and high-speed options are also now within the reach of the average buyer.
"Blue Print Solutions heralds a new opportunity for people to buy equipment that is not only inexpensive to buy, but also to run," says Sean Sequeria, dealer manager at Copy Type Electronics. While many comparable systems may have an attractive pricetag, this is soon negated by the increasing cost of consumables such as toner and ink cartridges. "With the Blue range, the total cost of ownership has been addressed to provide products that remain affordable for the long-term. We’ve completely bucked the system with this approach."
Frikkie Koegelenberg, managing director of Roan Systems, shares Sequeria’s enthusiasm. "We’re excited about this development because there’s nothing in the market like Blue Print Solutions." He goes on to say that, while traditionally Roan comes from a back-office and warehousing background , the company is evolving to offer front office systems too.
This was also the motivation behind Roan being awarded dealership status for Copytype’s Toshiba copiers. Roan Systems will operate as an authorised Toshiba repair centre, providing customers with a one-stop-shop for copiers and repairs. This offering will include Toshiba’s affordable ‘pay as you use’ model, in which a monthly fee is charged according to the usage of the equipment. The package includes services and replacement of consumables, making it a very appealing option for the local market.
