The Securex 2009 exhibition has reinforced the benefits associated with eco-friendly technology and effective HR management says Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys, a national supplier of payroll, HR, Time & Attendance and Access Control solutions.
Securex is an annual exhibition organised to identify and display the latest available information, communication and security technology as well as serve as a platform for operators within trade and industry to network and engage in marketing opportunity.
Schroenn used the opportunity to participate in this year’s exhibition, held recently at the Sandton Convention Centre, to lift the profile of the company’s PeopleWare Enterprise solution and communicate the advantages of enhanced management of HR, payroll, time & attendance and biometric access control via a single database.
At the same time Accsys used its local market experience, its expertise and exposure to global markets – as well as knowledge of the most up-to-date technology trends and solutions – to remind the local market of the ongoing global focus on eco-friendly or ‘green’ technology delivery and supply.
“We are pleased to have been part of a very successful exhibition. This year the calibre of participants and quality of solutions and technology on display was exceptionally high. The focus, and rightly so, was on boosting the competitiveness and capability of the business through a strategic investment in technology,” says Schroenn.
“We felt it was important to reiterate and stress the benefit of emerging trends in the development and delivery of management solutions, as well as communicate the need for South African companies to bolster their appreciation and application of eco-friendly technology in the workplace,” she adds.
Accsys is positioned at the forefront of solution development and implementation in the workplace, and management believes the key drivers in business today – from Software as a Service to virtualisation to automated, single database management of critical business disciplines – will continue to dominate the corporate sector for some time to come.
“Decision makers are far more aware of the need to comply with laws pertaining to information and human resource management. Technology goes hand-in-hand with this awareness and we are encouraged by the initiative industry is taking to inform and educate the market at large,” says Schroenn.
