Twitter and Facebook are once again in the news, this time for a series of outages, caused by denial of service attacks, on the two social networks.

Symantec warms that users visiting the two sites may notice a slowdown in service, or they may not be able to gain access at all.
According to a statement from the security company, it is not known at this time if malware is involved in carrying out this attack.
DDoS (denial of service) attacks essentially ropes in computers worldwide, that may have been infected by a Trojan in the past, to all access the targeted system simultaneously, causnig it to respond slowly or fall over.
