Toshiba has announced that TVR Computers has been appointed as an official distributor of its accessories and options in South Africa.
Having just opened its branch in Bloemfontein, TVR Computers now has seven branches countrywide, which is set to widen the availability of Toshiba’s accessories and options across the country.
“Toshiba has over 2,500 products in its accessories and options portfolio, which includes external hard drives, carry cases, Camileo camcorders, batteries, A/C adaptors and extended warranties, to name a few,” explains business manager for accessories and options at Toshiba Africa, Samantha Marais.
“Until recently, accessories and options has not been a major focus for Toshiba in South Africa. But with this business unit having grown by an estimated 114% for the last quarter, there’s clearly growing demand for these types of products to accompany Toshiba’s range of notebooks, and it has prompted us to expand our existing channel for these products.
With over 21 years of experience in the South African market, TVR Computers has cemented itself as an unbelievably strong brand amongst South African IT resellers, particularly in the small and medium business arena.
TVR Computers has established itself a niche in servicing small to medium IT resellers by offering order consolidation to its customers, whereby smaller resellers who do not necessarily qualify for accounts with some of the larger IT distributors in South Africa are able to utilise TVR’s buying power to gain access to technology products that they otherwise would not be able to order in small quantities.
“Now with TVR Computers joining the ranks of Toshiba partners alongside existing distributor, Mustek, we are confident that we will be able to make our range of accessories and options widely available in South Africa – across all market segments,” Marais says.
“We’re delighted to have TVR Computers join the Toshiba family. With the company’s track record in dealing with computer accessories and peripherals, we’re confident that we’ve selected a partner that will do the Toshiba brand justice from a quality and service perspective,” she concludes.
