Airborne Consulting has been awarded Microsoft Gold Partner status for Security Solutions, making it one of just a small handful of Cape Town based Microsoft partners to achieve Gold Partner status in five key competency areas.
Airborne has previously demonstrated the required level of expertise for Gold Partner certification in the Custom Development Solutions competency, the Data Management Solutions competency, the Networking Infrastructure Solutions competency, and the Information Worker Solutions competency.
Says Chris Lazari, director of Airborne Infrastructure Services: “Our latest Gold certification means we can now offer a complete, end-to-end service of the highest possible standard of Microsoft competency. As more and more companies place themselves in the public domain via the internet and open architecture, security is key to ensure the integrity and availability of data. Airborne is also moving into the hosted environment, where applications need to be secure right through the development lifecycle and into production.”
According to the IDC report "Worldwide IT Security Software, Hardware and Services 2007 – 2011 Forecast: the Big Picture", the IT security market is expected to more than double by 2011 to reach $71,8-billion.
Says Airborne COO Brian Harding: "Our Gold certification for Security Solutions identifies us a trusted Microsoft partner and means we are well placed to take advantage of this rapidly expanding market . It is a significant achievement for a company of our size and a testament to the quality of our people.”
