CallingtheCape, the promotion and investment initiative for the call centre and BPO sector in the Western Cape, is set to align with BPeSA (Business Process enabling South Africa) in a move aimed at streamlining the call centre industry.

As a national coordinating body, BPeSA represents the interests of the business process outsourcing & offshoring sector in South Africa. It addresses key industry challenges including policy advocacy, affordable telco pricing, quality assurance and skills development.
The response to the news of the alignment has been generally positive, with both local and international investors singing its praise with South Africa now following suit on global BPO best practise policies that is having one brand representing the voice of the industry.
 “By having one industry body, I think we will see more equal distribution of BPO investment, with company’s looking at the whole of South Africa,” says Karin Kruger director of Eden Connect contact centre in George.
