HP has launched a raft of new products, solutions and services that help organisations drive innovation and rapidly scale up and down to meet changing business needs.
New research conducted on behalf of HP shows that more than 90% of senior business decision makers believe business cycles will continue to be unpredictable in the next few years. As a result, 80% recognise a need to be far more flexible in their approaches to business and technology.
In addition to flexibility, 84% of senior business leaders believe innovation will be critical to their organisation’s success and 71% would sanction more technology investments if they could see how those investments met their organisation’s time-to-market and business opportunity needs.
“Technology is a fundamental contributor to business innovation,” says Manoj Bhoola, country manager: HP Enterprise Servers, Storage & Networking at HP Enterprise Business. “With HP’s portfolio of products, services and solutions, organisations can build technology environments that deliver the outcomes that matter today and tomorrow.”
HP’s new offerings allow organisations to thrive in unpredictability by building technology environments that deliver:
* Line of sight – Enabling improved competitiveness and mitigation of risk through business data management, information governance and business analytics.
* Innovation – Speeding time to market for new goods and services, while simultaneously reducing the cost of lost time, opportunity and effort is achieved through the best use of technology to meet customers’ unique problems.
* Elasticity – Returning to peak form after being compressed or stretched is achieved through a converged infrastructure.
For line of sight, HP Neoview Advantage, the new release of the HP Neoview enterprise data warehouse platform, supports real-time insight and decision making, allowing customers to respond to business events faster. This release offers dramatic improvements in performance, capacity, footprint and manageability. HP Neoview Advantage also is designed to reduce the cost of ownership with industry-standard components and prebuilt, pretested configurations optimised for warehousing.
In terms of elasticity, HP announced the HP Converged Infrastructure architecture, which delivers a technology environment that rapidly adjusts to meet organisations’ changing needs. HP Converged Infrastructure addresses IT sprawl, the main cause of technology spend being focused on maintenance instead of innovation.
HP Converged Infrastructure enables the ability to more easily deploy application environments through orchestrated, shared service management; lower network costs and reduced complexity through a flexible network fabric; optimised use through virtual resource pools; and improved energy integration and effectiveness across the data centre through data centre smart grid technology.
In addition, new HP Converged Infrastructure Consulting Services help customers quickly and seamlessly transition from isolated product-centric technologies to a highly flexible converged infrastructure.
