Samsung Electronics SA has appointed Pinnacle Africa as a distributor for Samsung printers and notebooks. The appointment is effective from 1 December and means Pinnacle Africa will now distribute the full IT cluster of Samsung products, including monitors, hard drives, optical drives, data projectors, large format displays (LFD) and the newley-added printer and notebook ranges.
Samsung now has three fully-fledged IT distributors – Pinnacle, Tarsus and Rectron – all of which support Samsung IT products in different market segments such as Soho, SMB, corporate and enterprise.
Dennis Brett, divisional head of OA & IT at Samsung, comments: "We have been trading with Pinnacle since July 2008 on monitor, optical drives and hard drives, and they have shown good growth for Samsung, in a previously untapped market space, so it made sense for them to engage in the complete portfolio, and continue this growth across our entire portfolio."
Tim Humphreys-Davies, national sales & marketing director of Pinnacle Micro, comments: "We are very excited about the addition of Samsung notebooks and printers to the existing run rate on Samsung which has proved successful to date."
