The Western Cape underlined its value as a world class call centre destination, taking home 13 of a possible 20 Awards at the BPeSA National Awards Ceremony held in Port Elizabeth last weekend.

“The national awards are an important part of the call centre calendar, acknowledging those individuals and companies who have made a significant contribution to the industry both locally and internationally,” says Sipho Zungu, CEO of BPeSA Western Cape.
Fusion Outsourcing followed up an impressive showing at the recent BPeSA Western Cape Awards taking home three awards on the night; Best Offshore Customer Service – Enterprise, HR Internal and Offshore BPO Centre – Enterprise.
Zungu says for any company to win three awards in such a competitive environment is a fantastic achievement and is testament to their hard work and commitment.
Other winners of the night included: Exigent Limited (Offshore Customer Service – Emerging and Best Offshore BPO Centre – Emerging); Direct Channel Holdings (Support IT – Individual); Old Mutual (SA Customer Service);  Contact Centre Dynamics & Distinct Solutions (Trading Provider – Emerging); Metropolitan Health Corporate (Technical Innovation Internal); 1Stream (Technical Innovation – Vendor); Shell Global CSC Cape Town (Non Technical Innovation – Internal); Full Circle South Africa (Non Technical Innovation – Vendor); and HomeChoice (Best Outbound Campaign).
Zungu believes that the call centre industry is vital for both the social and economic growth of South Africa. “For every one job created a further three indirect jobs are made, this once again stresses why the success of this industry is so important.”
