The free information site Wikipedia has received a cash injection from Google, allowing it to expand its content.

Wikipedia is one of the best-read sites on the Internet and is supported through donations.
Google announced yesterday that it had paid the cash to the Wikipedia Foundation. The grant has allowed Wikipedia to reach its $10,6-million budget for the year.
More than 240 000 people and companies have contributed funds to help it reach that target.
