In order to address and efficiently manage its growing project environment, ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, Integr8 IT has chosen to implement Post Vision Technology's project management solution, Project Portfolio Office (PPO).

Says Guy Jelley, CEO of Post Vision Technology: "Integr8 IT's projects have grown in number and size over the last year and the manual process that the company was following became inefficient. Essentially, the time spent manually reporting on individual projects and the consolidation of project information was becoming an issue for the company."
PPO partner, PM.Ideas proposed the solution to Integr8 IT. According to Sean van Rooyen, sales director at PM.Ideas, Integr8 IT manages projects that range from those needing a fast turn around to more complex implementations and required a tool that would fit into its business model without creating extra workloads.
"PPO met the defined functional requirements and, most importantly, will present Integr8 IT with accurate reporting that can be updated quickly and will enable the company to better understand its resource requirements and utilisation levels," he explains.
"In addition, PPO allows for the visual representation of Integr8 IT's chosen project methodology which other systems do not. It is also the only system that the client felt was easy to use and intuitive, and would allow the company's project environment to grow and improve in maturity," states Jelley.
The application will be used by project managers, project leaders, support and technical staff as well as executive management in the company's Cape Town and Johannesburg offices.
As part of the initial implementation, Post Vision Technology is assisting Integr8 IT to define a standard project management methodology with the necessary templates to manage both enterprise and small projects. PM.Ideas is also providing project management training at all levels including PMI certification on CAPM and PMP levels.
