A host of major South African sporting celebrities saw Tarsus honour its top partners at what has become the local IT industry's event of the year, the Tarsus Dealer Bash late last week.
Under a sport-themed banner and hosted by Supersport presenter Darren Scott, the distributor's resellers and retailers mingled with, competed against and got the chance to get up close and personal with sports heroes such as Gary Bailey, Pat Symcox, Wayne Fyvie, Adrian Garvie, Fanie de Villiers, Neil McKenzie and even the Springbok's Player 23, Jan. The festivities following the awards once again earmarked the Dealer Bash as the higlight of the IT industry's social calendar.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Tarsus CEO Pierre Spies (not the rugby player, as Scott was quick to point out) paid tribute to the company's partners.
"We get better every year and we go from strength to strength," Spies told the gathering. "And we couldn't have done it without you."
Digital Planet was named as Tarsus' National Reseller of the Year while its best National Business Partner was Incredible Connection. Its Africa Reseller of the Year was Business Connexion Namibia.
