Dimension Data, has deepened its influential standing with storage solutions provider EMC, by becoming a service enabled value added reseller (SE-VAR).

In the process, the company’s data centre and storage solution business, with whom the EMC contract has been signed, gains the ability to enhance its virtualised data centre strategy – providing clients with more efficient, effective, and cost effective data centre solutions.
Craig Hockley, General Manager for the Data Centre & Storage Solutions business at Dimension Data says: “One of our greatest strengths is our range of certifications and strategic alliances with the world’s leading technology brands and vendors. We work hard on building these critical business links because they ensure that we can use a range of best of breed technologies to give clients the solutions that really suit them.
“However, it’s not easy to get accreditations. Vendors expect rigorous standards of proficiency in their technologies, and some integrators never make the mark.
“This agreement with EMC therefore reinforces the fact that we have the world class talent and abilities not only to represent EMC at the level of the excellence of its products but also to give clients access to that excellence in the ways that are most appropriate to their business strategies.
“This agreement takes our current EMC services offerings to the next level – and allows us to grow our core annuity base for services, which is key to building lasting relationships with clients.”
Dimension Data has started the migration phase of the contract with EMC, which requires that Dimension Data engineers be trained and certified as Customer Engineers on EMC storage solutions.
