As Microsoft gets ready to launch Office 2010 in May, the Office Web Apps component of the product is already available online.

Micrsoft Office Live is offering the beta version of its applications, aailable to any user with a Windows Live account.
Users are able to create, modify and share Word, Excell and PowerPoint documents – and they don't even need to have Micrsoft software installed.
The full version of Office 2010 will be available to business users in May and consumers in June.
The availability of the applications online is seen as a direct counter to Google Docs.
