Samsung Electronics has launched a range of options for 3D home entertainment with a comprehensive line up of 3D-ready LED, LCD and Plasma televisions as well as 3D Blu-ray players and home theatre systems.
Samsung was the first to introduce 3D into the home in 2007 with a DLP offering, and the following year brought this technology to the UK with the launch of the world’s first 3D flat-panel plasma. Following a string of 3D cinema releases, Samsung has developed core 3D image processing technology to provide home customers with the multi-platform 3D solutions.
Samsung’s 3D-ready TV offering includes the LED TV 9000 Series, as well as the LED TV 8000 and 7000 Series. For customers wanting to purchase an LCD model, the new 750 Series will also support 3D technology, while the latest in Samsung’s premium plasma TV line, the 7000 Series, also includes Samsung’s proprietary built-in 3D processor.
Entertainment enthusiasts can also enjoy 3D content on their Blu-ray players for the first time with the launch of the BD-C6900 as well as a 3D Blu-ray home theatre system.
Samsung's new 3D offerings will be available in South Africa from May 2010.
